Norwich City is saddened to learn of the passing of former forward James 'Jimmy' Moran at the age of 84.
Moran was born in the village of Cleland near Motherwell in Scotland and moved to the Canaries in 1957 from Leicester City. He played 40 games in four seasons in Norfolk, scoring 18 goals.
He was part of the famous City "59ers" group which became the first third division side to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
He went onto play for Northampton Town, Darlington and Workington before returning to Norfolk to finish his career with Lowestoft Town and Great Yarmouth Town.
The thoughts of everyone at the club at with the family and friends of Jimmy at this difficult time.
